NWA 2798 is a very pristine meteorite of petrologic type 3. This chondrule-packed L3.2 meteorite shows a very low degree of metamorphism. The chondrules, matrix, etc. is having nearly the same composition and mineralogy as when it was accreted to the parent asteroid. It was purchased in Morocco in 2005. There were a total of 13 stones making up a combined total known weight of 1805 grams. It has a shock stage of 2 and a weathering grade of 1. There are many 'armoured' chondrules. After your purchase this specimen will continue to be displayed in the Meteorite Gallery of our museum unless you do not want us to display your meteorite online.Please allow 1 to 2 business days for shipment since we have to retrieve the items from our warehouse first.
