NGC 6744 - A Milky Way Twin

This galaxy is considered to closely resemble our Milky Way. The 30 million light years distant galaxy with its diameter of 175 000 light years is bigger than our own galaxy but with its fluffy spiral arms, an elongated core and a distorted companion galaxy, similar to the Large Magellanic Cloud, NGC 7644 looks like a twin of our own galaxy.
